Job summary

STS Technical Services in Melbourne, FL seeks a Manufacturing Engineer I to design, evaluate and improve manufacturing operations, applying lean techniques to reduce cost and cycle time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, assembly line support, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry standards.
• Desirable: proficiency in SAP and MES.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolves engineering problems by collecting and analyzing information and recommending solutions.
• Supports lean manufacturing implementations and efficiency improvements.
• Establishes labor standards, line balancing and factory layouts to improve material flow.
• Evaluates electrical systems and related components as part of manufacturing processes.
• Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment and practices.
