Job summary

PFI Conveyors seeks a Product Engineer to design and support specified products and processes. You will work under the Engineering Manager, delivering cost-effective design solutions and technical knowledge across departments.

The role focuses on extending product lines, reducing costs, and creating new products, while maintaining safety and quality standards. 2-4 year Mechanical Engineering degree preferred; travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze and comprehend engineering concepts related to steel fabrication design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS and SW PDM software.
• Proficiency in FEA software and MS Office tools.
• MSHA safety training certification and passport for travel in the Americas.

Responsibilities

• Execute product extension, cost reduction and new product creation projects under the direction of their manager.
• Formulate creative and efficient design solutions maintaining structural integrity while optimizing cost and through-put.
• Plan, delegate and schedule work to be performed to meet timelines and communicate progress.
• Provide technical and field application support across the company to meet customer expectations.
• Develop bills of materials, manufacturing routings and standards for products.
