Job summary

PFI is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and support products and processes, focusing on steel fabrication concepts and functional improvements. You will work under the Engineering Manager to advance projects from concept through to production and will coordinate with production, purchasing, and quality teams.

The role requires proficiency in CAD tools, FEM analysis, and MS Office, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance. Travel is limited, and the position is on-site in Texas.

Qualifications

• Engineering concepts related to steel fabrication design.
• Proficiency in Auto-CAD and SOLIDWORKS and SW PDM software.
• Proficiency in FEA software.
• Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Possession of MSHA Safety Training or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Execute product extension, cost reduction and new product creation projects under manager guidance.
• Formulate design solutions maintaining structural integrity while optimizing cost and manufacturability.
• Plan, delegate and schedule work ensuring timelines are met and communicated.
• Provide technical support and data to other areas of the company as needed.
