Job summary

ATI is hiring a Product Engineer – Materials Engineering for its Millersburg, Oregon facility. The role focuses on owning products across primary metals like sheet, plate, tube, pipe, rod and wire, interfacing with Operations, Sales, Planning, Quality, and customers.

The position blends on-floor process improvements with office work to control processing and create finished products. You will drive efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize variability through strong problem-solving and continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Metallurgical, Materials, Mechanical, Manufacturing or related field).
• The ability to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) Security Clearance.
• Verification and authorization may be required from U.S. Government, security organizations of ATI’s customers, or ATI’s Law Department.

Responsibilities

• Review customer purchase orders and specifications to ensure manufacturability.
• Write process instructions and ensure consistency with current manufacturing standards.
• Continuously improve manufacturing processes to reduce costs, improve quality, minimize variability and reduce cycle time.
• Actively participate with and/or lead cross functional teams for problem solving and improvement objectives.
• Collaborate with and provide technical assistance to customers within assigned product line.
• Support customer, supplier, and internal audits.
