Job summary

ATI is seeking a Process Engineer to support our Specialty Rolled Products coil mill facility in Vandergrift, PA. You will be responsible for process development and improvement, and quality cost control, with daily interaction with production workers and supervision.

The role interfaces with internal customers and suppliers on quality issues and adheres to Quality Management Systems. It reports to the Manager, Technology (Process Engineering) and participates in off-turn support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with project development, implementation and management.
• Experience with process analysis, conducting controlled experiments and the ability to summarize data.
• Strong teamwork, leadership, communication, and organization skills.
• Root cause analysis experience and problem solving abilities.
• Fundamental PC skills with Microsoft Office familiarity.
• Knowledge of mill product production.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Highly technically competent, persuasive and organized; willing to work off-turn as needed.
