Northern Tool + Equipment, a Minnesota-based leader in tools and equipment, is seeking a Product Engineer who will own projects from concept to production launch, guiding design, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive development with methodologies like FEA, GD&T, DFMEA/PFMEA, DFM, and tolerance analysis, and mentor junior engineers while refining processes for manufacturability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of engineering experience in product development, design, manufacturing, or related environments.
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication abilities.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive results without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple product development projects from concept through production launch.
• Drive technical execution while aligning with quality, schedules, and budgets.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, sourcing, quality, and manufacturing teams across the lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain schedules, technical requirements, specs, and documentation.
• Lead design reviews and drive best practices in product development.
