Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc in Minnesota, Rochester, seeks a Product Engineer to lead manufacturing activities for New Product Launch, ensuring products meet customer expectations and are assembled efficiently.

You will analyze processes, participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen, review drawings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• 4 year Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0-3+ years of electronics manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads manufacturing activities of assigned products through prototype, pilot, and production
• Oversees the implementation of customer documentation changes and internal change order
• Actively participates in new customer development and new business development
• Analyzes line return information to understand and drive corrective action on manufacturing process issues
• Performs product level FMEAs as required
• Participates in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities
• Performs review of engineering design drawings and DFX reports prior to production release for manufacturability
• Participates in evaluating and qualifying new manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment
• Leads internal and external corrective action plans
• Complies and follow all company policies and procedures
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
