Job summary

MACOM seeks a Product Engineer II to support NPI, manufacturing release, test development, and sustaining engineering for complex RF, microwave, and millimeter‑wave modules at the Nashua, NH facility. The role combines RF performance knowledge with hands-on test development, data analysis, and troubleshooting in a production environment.

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with related RF engineering experience, hands-on RF instrumentation, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; two+ years RF/microwave engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of RF concepts, measurements, and lab practices
• Hands-on RF instrumentation experience (VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters)
• Experience analyzing engineering/manufacturing data with statistics
• Ability to read schematics, drawings, and test requirements; troubleshoot hardware
• Clear test procedures, technical reports, and engineering documentation creation
• Ability to manage multiple technical activities and communicate across teams

Responsibilities

• Support transition of new RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave modules into manufacturing
• Develop production test plans from requirements, design intent, risk, and performance
• Perform RF and DC characterization across frequency, temperature, power, bias, and modes
• Design, analyze, document, and debug RF test boards, fixtures, and interface hardware
• Collaborate with Test Engineering to deploy and improve automated production tests
• Establish correlation between bench characterization and customer specs
• Analyze characterization data using statistics and set test limits to balance yield
• Monitor yield/test performance and lead root-cause investigations
