HCLTech in Dearborn, MI seeks a Product Engineer Body – Closure System / Applications Engineer to design, develop, and release automotive closure components for vehicle doors and related mechanisms.

With 2+ years of automotive design experience and skills in CATIA, 3DX, and Teamcenter, you will contribute to latching systems, handles, locks, and hinges across doors, hoods, tailgates, and decklids.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering experience in design, development, or launch of automotive mechanisms.
• Experience on automotive latching systems such as side door, tailgate, or liftgate latches.
• Engineering design and release for body closures systems and related components.

Responsibilities

• Design and release vehicle closure components such as handles, latches, and locks.
• Work on doors, hoods, frunks, tailgates, and decklids with CATIA/3DX/Teamcenter.

Skills required JD & Responsibilities:

2+ years of engineering experience in design, development, or launch of automotive mechanisms. Experience on Automotive Latching system like Side Door latching, tailgate/liftgate latch and or latching system. Automotive product design & release engineer for Body Closures System, Seat Mechanism, Seat structures etc. CATIA, 3DX, Teamcenter. Component Responsibility HLM D&R Engineer (Product Engineer) will work on Vehicle Handles, Locks, and Mechanism for doors, hoods, frunks, tailgates, liftgates, and decklids. Components include handles, latches, locks, strikers, hinges, door checks, and manual or powered mechanisms.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $35.0 per hour

Pay Range Maximum: $40.00 per hour

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
