Advantage Technical is seeking a Rear Closures Core Engineer in Dearborn, MI, hybrid schedule four days onsite. You will design and release closure systems for vehicles, including liftgates, tailgates, and related mechanisms, working with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering degree and 5+ years of automotive closure experience, strong writing and development skills, and proficiency with CATIA V5 and DFMEA/DVP&R processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing automotive closure systems.
• Experience writing technical specifications and engineering requirements.
• Knowledge of statics, dynamics, structural mechanics, and system integration.
• Familiarity with CATIA V5, product development processes, DFMEA, DVP&R, and benchmarking.
• Experience with sheet metal structures, hinges, latches, seals, and mechanisms preferred.

• Create and maintain DFMEA, DVP&R, FMA, and related engineering documentation.

Now Hiring: Rear Closures Core Engineer

Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid: 4 Days Onsite)

Pay: $42.31+/hour

We are seeking an experienced Rear Closures Core Engineer to support the design, development, and release of automotive closure systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanical or product engineer with experience in liftgates, tailgates, cargo doors, swing gates, hinges, latches, mechanisms, and system integration.

In this role, you will develop technical requirements, engineering strategies, and validation documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality vehicle closure systems. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical writing and product development experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and release technical requirements and engineering specifications
