• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in component engineering, product engineering, or a related technical role.
• Strong understanding of passive electronic components and circuit-level design considerations.
• Experience with parametric data, technical databases, or component selection tools.
• Ability to interpret datasheets and translate technical specifications into practical recommendations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or other data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with database querying or data management systems.
• Exposure to customer-facing technical support or field application engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong working knowledge of NIC’s passive component portfolio to support technical and product-related inquiries.
• Utilize internal databases and parametric tools to recommend component selections based on application requirements, functional descriptions, and competitor part numbers.
• Identify pin-for-pin and functionally equivalent replacements and generate cross-reference options.
• Validate and improve the accuracy of existing parametric and product data.
• Contribute to NIC's technical marketing catalog including white papers, test reports, and marketing material.
• Resolve customer issues related to component selection.
• Query datasets and generate reports to support advanced applications, customers, and internal decision-making.
• Participate in customer discussions as the technical voice for parametric and product data.
• Assist in developing and enhancing internal tools that leverage component parametric attributes.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and sales teams to ensure technical alignment and responsiveness.

As a leader in passive component technology, NIC’s offerings of passive components — including a wide range of capacitors, circuit protection products, inductors, magnetics, resistors, and RF products — are built to meet the challenges of modern electronics design. We are looking for a Product Engineer to serve as a key technical resource across NIC Components’ full portfolio of passive electronic components (including capacitors, inductors, resistors, magnetics, and RF products). This role will be responsible for supporting both internal teams and customers with component selection, competitive cross-referencing, and technical data validation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of passive components and the ability to translate application requirements or competitor part numbers into optimized NIC solutions. It also offers the opportunity to work with colleagues and suppliers worldwide. This is a hybrid role based in our Long Island, NY office, with a combination of office and home working. We would also consider a fully remote arrangement for the right candidate.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

• Effective communication skills with ability to interact with both technical and commercial stakeholders.

Work Arrangement

Fully Remote: Must be able to travel to an Arrow office location as requested by Arrow leadership.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate

$75,240.00 - $91,960.00

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
