Job summary

Arrow Electronics in Melville, NY is seeking a Product Engineer to support NIC's passive components portfolio. You will translate application requirements into optimized NIC solutions, cross-reference competitors, and validate product data.

This role combines office and home-based work with potential remote arrangements for the right candidate. The ideal candidate holds a technical degree and 2–5 years in component or product engineering, with strong Excel and data skills, plus the ability to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in component engineering, product engineering, or a related technical role.
Strong understanding of passive electronic components and circuit-level design considerations.
Experience working with parametric data, technical databases, or component selection tools.
Ability to interpret datasheets and translate technical specifications into practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

Develop strong working knowledge of NIC’s passive component portfolio to support technical and product-related inquiries.
Utilize internal databases and parametric tools to recommend component selections based on application requirements and descriptions.
Cross-reference competitor parts and identify pin-for-pin and functionally equivalent replacements.
Validate and improve the accuracy of existing parametric and product data.
Collaborate with engineering, product management, and sales teams to ensure technical alignment.
