Job summary

PowerSecure seeks a Product Development Manager to own the full lifecycle for an assigned product line in Energy Storage or Power Generation. You will bridge engineering, commercial teams, and customers to shape strategy, pricing, and market adoption.

This role requires executive-facing communication, deep domain knowledge, and a track record of cross-functional leadership within energy/software domains. Hybrid work and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, business or related field; master's preferred.
• 8–12+ years of experience in solutions development, product management, engineering, or technical sales.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.
• Strong ability to translate technical concepts into business value for executives.
• Experience in energy, software, infrastructure, industrials, or SaaS domains preferred.
• Experience supporting enterprise or strategic customer accounts preferred.
• Familiarity with agile development, solution architecture, and lifecycle management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute product strategy and multi-year roadmap.
• Discover competitive landscape and emerging technologies.
• Write PRDs and user stories for Product Engineering.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable architectures.
• Develop pricing strategies and profitability targets.
• Own product line financial performance and lifecycle profitability.
• Plan GTM strategies and enable Sales with collateral.
• Educate Sales on new features and competitive insights.
• Support Sales on opportunities, RFPs, and presentations.
• Engage utilities and end customers to gather insights.
• Represent PowerSecure at industry events.
• Oversee lifecycle from concept to commercialization.
• Ensure alignment between design, deployment, and serviceability.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, etc.
