Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Product Development Engineer (PDE) to optimize PCB/CCA manufacturability from design to production. You will lead design reviews, coordinate with suppliers, and guide BOM development to achieve cost and cycle-time goals.

Responsibilities include on-site supplier support, mentoring peers, and ensuring IPC MIL compliance. DoD clearance and U.S. citizenship are required for this U.S.-based role.

Qualifications

  • STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience in PCB manufacturing and/or circuit card assembly (2+ areas).
  • Experience with IPC and MIL specs and design guides.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Host and facilitate design reviews with multi-discipline team.
  • Provide onsite supplier support and resolve manufacturing defects.
  • Mentor PDEs on PCB/CCA production and IPC specs.
  • Drive design, procurement and build schedule to meet program dates.
  • Generate drawing notes and review TDP for IPC compliance.
  • Perform DFA analyses; BOM development and management.
