Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Tewksbury, MA, seeks a Digital Electrical Engineer I to design and develop CCAs and FPGA-based solutions powering mission‑critical applications. You will work across full lifecycle in an agile, cross‑functional team with systems, mechanical, and software engineers, contributing from initial concepts to production release.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a STEM field and hands-on HDL/FPGA experience, with familiarity in high‑speed interfaces and embedded processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM discipline must be obtained by start date.
• Experience or coursework in Digital Electronics, Circuit Design/Analysis, Digital Design, or HDL coding targeting configurable logic devices.
• Experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs) for circuit characterization and validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify digital architecture, circuit card designs, and FPGA implementations for configurable logic devices.
• Model digital algorithms, partition design functions, and write high‑reliability code for embedded processing systems.
• Perform component selection, schematic capture, circuit simulation, and contribute to layout and routing.
• Integrate and validate hardware designs in a lab using advanced test instrumentation against system requirements.
• Maintain design documentation, reports, and configuration management throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support activities from customer requirements through formal production release.
