Jobot is seeking a Product Development Engineer to drive new product development, manufacturing innovation, and process improvements across our U.S. and India operations.
The role partners with customers, engineering, production, and leadership to develop reliable, cost-effective manufacturing solutions. The ideal candidate has a mechanical design background, experience with APQP, and product launch management in manufacturing, plus CAD (SolidWorks) and ERP familiarity to support tooling,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- Minimum 3 years in mechanical design, product development, and launches.
- Strong APQP knowledge and quality planning.
- DOE experience.
- CAD skills with SolidWorks; ERP familiarity.
Responsibilities
- Develop new products from customer requirements and specs.
- Lead product launches from concept to production using APQP.
- Design and optimize tooling and processes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Implement SPC and process capability monitoring.
- Coordinate US and India production activities and tests.
- Create and maintain BOMs, ECNs, and DCNs per ISO/TS.
- Train production staff on new equipment and procedures.
- Conduct product testing, validation, and PPAP support.
