Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Product Development Engineer to drive new product development, manufacturing innovation, and process improvements across US and India. The role partners with customers, engineering, production, and leadership to deliver reliable, cost-effective manufacturing solutions.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, APQP, and product launch management within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years in mechanical design and product development.
• Experience with APQP and quality planning methodologies.
• Strong understanding of DOE principles and applications.
• Proficiency with CAD software and ERP systems; excellent communication and PM skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products based on customer requirements and specifications.
• Lead product launch activities from concept through production using APQP.
• Design, optimize, and improve tooling and manufacturing processes.
• Drive continuous improvement and process capability in operations.
• Coordinate with U.S. and India teams to align requirements and schedules.
• Create and maintain BOMs, ECNs, and documentation per ISO/TS.
