Job summary

Tecomet, Inc in Indiana is seeking a design engineer to participate in all phases of product development. You will work on cross-functional teams to define user needs, generate design concepts, prototypes, and perform evaluations including tolerance analysis and FEA.

Qualifications

• :
• A BA/BS in Engineering is required.
• Demonstrated understanding of mechanisms, tolerancing, drafting standards, GD&T.
• Experience using CAD to develop products is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Participate on cross-functional project teams through all product development phases.
• Assist in defining user needs, generating design concepts and prototypes, and performing evaluations (tolerance analysis, FEA, DOE, simulated use testing).
• Assist in creation of process validation plans and testing.
• Assist other engineers and suppliers to optimize manufacturability and change requests.
• Prepare specifications and engineering drawings; conduct research investigations; report writing.
