Morse Manufacturing, a long‑standing design and manufacturer of drum handling equipment, is seeking a Product Development Engineer to turn customer needs into practical solutions. This hands‑on role collaborates with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to drive projects from concept to release.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of five years in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience leading engineering projects and coordinating cross-functional technical work; supervisory experience helpful but not required.
• Experience with SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD software and a Product Data Management (PDM) environment.
• Experience in manufacturing environments involving fabricated, machined, welded, and assembled products.
• Experience supporting CE certification, product risk assessment, technical files, or other product compliance activities preferred.

Mansioni

• Plan and prioritize engineering work based on company, production, and customer needs.
• Design new products and improve existing products from concept through production release.
• Create models, drawings, BOMs, specifications, manuals, labels, and other product documentation.
• Maintain SolidWorks and PDM systems, including file organization, revisions, approvals, and released records.
• Coordinate engineering changes (ECRs/ECNs), assess impacts, obtain approvals, and ensure proper records.
• Support prototypes, testing, verification, validation, risk assessments, and product compliance activities.
