Job summary

Century-Arms,-Inc.- is seeking a Product Development Engineer to support the design, testing, validation, and release to production of new products and enhancements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams from concept through production, create CAD models (SolidWorks preferred), generate drawings and BOMs, and help drive cost reduction initiatives and quality improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in product development and/or mechanical design in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD design software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Working knowledge of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) and engineering drawing practices.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, castings, injection molding, metal forming, additive manufacturing, or assembly processes.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Firearms product development experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support evaluation of new technologies, materials, and manufacturing methods.
  • Identify technical risks and contribute to mitigation planning.
  • Support ISO, safety, and company compliance requirements.
  • Periodic travel to support project and business needs.
  • Other duties will be assigned as required.

Qualifications & Knowledge Required

  • Experience developing engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, ECOs, and test reports.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, castings, injection molding, metal forming, additive manufacturing, or assembly processes.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Firearms product development experience is a plus.
Working Conditions

Work is normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment and throughout a heated manufacturing and warehouse facility. Exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of light manufacturing, shipping and receiving, and normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of job duties.
