SoloPoint Solutions, Inc. is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to drive product definition from concept to production. The role requires hands-on design across mechanical, electrical, and firmware domains, with deep knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid systems.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• Ability to develop products from concept through production across mechanical, electrical, and firmware domains.
• Experience with thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid systems, including pumps and calibration hardware.
• Proficiency with CAD, BOM management, and design documentation.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers, ODMs, and overseas suppliers.
• Structured problem-solving and risk tools (RCCA, FMEA, fault trees, fishbone).
• Patent documentation experience.
• Designing test fixtures, validation systems, and verification plans.

Responsabilidades

• Own mechanical product definition from concept through production.
• Define and prioritize requirements, performance specs, system architecture, and trade-offs.
• Perform hands-on design, analysis, and troubleshooting of complex systems (mechanical, electrical, firmware).
• Integrate products with other devices to ensure system-level compatibility and performance.
• Direct test engineers and define test strategies, fixtures, validation plans, and acceptance criteria; conduct lab and field testing.
• Analyze data to drive design improvements and corrective actions.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate with Contract Manufacturers and ODMs to ensure alignment with design intent, cost targets, and supply chain constraints; ensure production readiness and manufacturability.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred 6+ years developing products from concept through production with systems including mechanical, electrical, and firmware Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid systems (Fluid handling systems, calibration pumps, pneumatic/hydraulic pumps experience preferred - no oil & gas) Complete proficiency CAD (SolidWorks preferred), BOM management, and design documentation Experienced working contract manufacturers, ODMs / overseas suppliers Must have structured problem?solving and risk tools (RCCA, FMEA, fault trees, fishbone) Experience with Patent documentation Experience designing test fixtures, validation systems, and verification plans
