Job summary

Versigent is seeking an engineer to serve as the primary technical liaison with an OEM customer for EV charging products (portable cordsets). The role ensures seamless integration, validation, and on-site support at the customer facility, driving success through proactive engineering collaboration and issue resolution.

You will act as the on-site representative, assist with diagnostics and testing, and coordinate across engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to drive corrective actions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in automotive engineering, preferably in EV charging or electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as the on-site technical representative for EV charging products at the OEM facility.
• Provide hands-on support for product integration, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with OEM engineering teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Support launch activities, including pre-production builds and validation testing.
• Monitor and report product performance, quality concerns, and field issues.
• Coordinate with internal engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to drive corrective actions.
• Assist in root cause analysis and implement solutions for customer-reported issues.
• Provide technical training and documentation to OEM teams as needed.
• Ensure compliance with OEM specifications, standards, and program timelines.
• Represent the company in daily/weekly customer meetings and program reviews.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in automotive engineering, preferably in EV charging or electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) and related standards.
• Hands-on experience with diagnostics, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical components.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for direct customer interaction.
• Ability to work independently on-site and manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with OEM program development processes and APQP is a plus.
