Our client, a dynamic startup, is leading the charge in revolutionizing the water bottle and sparkling water industry with sustainable solutions. Committed to making a positive environmental impact, they are in search of a passionate and innovative Product Development Engineer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Creating 3D models, 2D drawings, and conducting tolerance analysis using mechanical engineering expertise.
2. Developing comprehensive test plans and executing tests to evaluate design performance.
3. Being involved with the design process from concept to mass production, ensuring quality and efficiency.
4. Demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, diligence, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
5. Continuously seeking innovative solutions, conducting research, and completing testing to enhance products.
6. Leveraging prior experience working on consumer products in mass production to contribute to success.
7. Taking a proactive approach to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional results.
8. Fostering a culture of sustainability, innovation, and excellence within the organization.

MUST HAVE:

1. 6+ years of relevant experience, BS/MS in mechanical engineering.
2. Experience developing test plans and conducting tests to evaluate design performance, including root cause analysis based on test results and incorporating learnings into designs.
3. Expertise in 3D modeling (preferably SolidWorks), creating 2D drawings, tolerance analysis, conducting design reviews, and managing CAD part databases (including revision control and BoMs).
4. Experience working on consumer products in a Mechanical Engineering capacity, ideally with water bottle companies or revered consumer brands.
5. Strong knowledge of Design for Manufacturing principles (DFM).
6. Experience taking products from concept to mass production.
7. Understanding of design for manufacturing, manufacturing methods, and collaboration with suppliers to refine manufacturability and assemble ability.
8. Experience working alongside product management, industrial designers, and executive teams.
9. Nice to have: Experience designing with O-Rings, water/drinkware.
