Ulla Johnson is seeking a Product Development Coordinator to join our PD team! The Product Development Coordinator will support the day-to-day operations of the RTW Product Development team by managing data entry, maintaining archive materials, and coordinating internal and external communications. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within the fashion product development space.

RESPONSIBILITY & ACCOUNTABILITY:

Design Development:

• Enter collection data in RLM and shared PD tools. Updating style info as things change throughout the development process. Working with Merchandising team to make sure styles are being updated accordingly once styles are moved over to Style Manager.
• Maintain BOMs and update throughout the development process, from Proto to SMS stage. Playing an integral role in the end of season hand off with Production team.
• Assist Senior Manager with trim and lining sourcing whether it be with the factories or nominated suppliers. Working with Design Team and suppliers to ensure trims are meeting desired expectations and are workable for Production.
• Work alongside Senior Manager and Assistant with Local NYC Development. Ensuring smooth communication, material pass off and sample timing. Assisting with gathering needed patterns, yields, etc for Production team.
• Assist with any counter sourcing exercises we may do. Helping to provide factories with reference samples or material swatches/info they may need.
• Assist Senior Manager with optical, legwear and other special projects.
• Participate in cross-collaborative team meetings for seasonal concept, allocation and trim development as needed.

Calendar Management & Process:

• Schedule fittings, confirm fit model availability, and maintain fit calendars.Troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Assist with gathering factory and vendor seasonal development calendar related information and create development timing chart.
• Assist with gathering costing info from the factories at Proto stage.
• Being mindful of calendar and deadlines. Thinking ahead and helping to flag any issues that may arise.
• Participating in factory calls as needed.
• Organize and maintain seasonal trims, lining and material & factory archives.
• Help log and track materials received for trials, local development and special projects.
• Assist Tech Team and in-house sewers with ensuring materials/supplies are readily available for show/photoshoot prep. Requesting or ordering anything that is needed.
• Assist with showroom prep for collection shoots and runway show prep.

Qualifications and Personal Characteristics:

• 2-3 years of experience in a fashion development or production support role.
• Proficiency in Excel, G Suite, and familiarity with RLM/PLM and Adobe programs.
• Clear communicator with excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills.
• Ability to work comfortably within a team finding solutions to move the development process forward.
• Pragmatic, able to enter into minutiae and still maintain global picture. Ability to manage multiple deadline simultaneously.
• Serve as a role model for others by modeling teamwork, professionalism, poise and composure.

Salary Range: $68,000- $80,000

*Compensation may vary based on factors such as years of experience, skills, and qualifications. Ulla Johnson reserves the right to offer a salary outside of this range based on these considerations.
