Job summary

Anthropic Limited in San Francisco seeks a Senior Designer to craft polished interfaces for AI-powered products. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to shape vision, define roadmaps, and ship features that users trust.

You’ll prototype rapidly, work with Claude Code, and design native UI patterns for AI interactions while paying attention to pixels, copy, and edge cases in a fast-paced startup environment that values impactful design and user trust.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and shipping complex workflows, enterprise/B2B SaaS, developer tools, or API products end-to-end.
• Proven track record of executing end-to-end on large and complex products, or a series of products, in ambiguous environments
• A portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking and polished UI craftsmanship
• Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools, such as Figma
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code as a creative partner in your own design practice
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence without authority

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, AI researchers and other stakeholders to define product vision, strategy and roadmaps, and play an active role in shipping.
• Understand the technical architecture of our products and define primitives for new capabilities.
• Define feature areas with exceptional attention to detail and polish, identifying opportunities to improve quality and consistency of broader flows
• Craft beautiful, polished, and delightful user interfaces that build trust and showcase the power of our AI technology
• Comfortable in code, design, prototypes, and learning new ways to communicate ideas and concepts
• Find creative ways to ship high-quality work in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, resource-constrained startup environment
