Job summary

Anthropic, a San Francisco–based AI safety company, is seeking a designer to shape how users interact with Claude and AI-powered features. You’ll work at the intersection of craft, research, and product intuition on products used by millions.

Collaborate with product, engineering, and research to ship fast, iterate openly, and invent patterns native to AI. You’ll balance pixels, copy, and edge cases while staying close to model capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and shipping complex B2B SaaS workflows and APIs.
• Proven track record delivering end-to-end products in ambiguous environments.
• Portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking and polished UI craftsmanship.
• Experience prototyping with front-end code is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, AI researchers and other stakeholders to define product vision, strategy and roadmaps, and play an active role in shipping.
• Understand the technical architecture of our products and define primitives for new capabilities.
• Define feature areas with exceptional attention to detail and polish, identifying opportunities to improve quality and consistency of broader flows
• Craft beautiful, polished, and delightful user interfaces that build trust and showcase the power of our AI technology
• Comfortable in code, design, prototypes, and learning new ways to communicate ideas and concepts
• Find creative ways to ship high-quality work in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, resource-constrained startup environment
