Job summary

Dirac is seeking an early Product Designer to define how BuildOS works for manufacturing engineers. You will own projects from pencil to release, shaping structure and surface, including workflows, IA, typography, color, and interaction polish.

Work with manufacturing engineers, operators, and customers on factory floors, helping establish the design language, design system, and product standards as Build OS grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design experience in complex software
• Strong ability to design complex systems and information-heavy interfaces
• Experience owning projects end-to-end from research to release
• Ability to balance user needs with technical constraints and business priorities
• Clear communication of design decisions across Product and Engineering

Responsibilities

• Design BuildOS across CAD interactions and data workflows
• Define patterns and interactions for complex workflows
• Translate spreadsheets and internal tools into faster, more trustworthy designs
• Learn manufacturing workflows (BOMs, GD&T, revision control)
• Collaborate with engineers and customers, including on factory floors
• Help establish Dirac's design language and design system
• Partner with Product and Engineering from discovery to release
• Contribute prototype, frontend code, and product polish
