Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Product Design Intern for a 12-week summer program, onsite in San Francisco or New York City. You will collaborate with product, research, data, and engineering to prototype concepts, test with real users, and ship improvements affecting millions of users.

You’ll join a core team with mentorship, learn from a dedicated manager, and explore AI-driven design methods in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Relocation support is available as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in design or tech with an expected graduation in Fall 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.
• Portfolio that shows strong design fundamentals – visuals, interaction design, and user-centered problem solving.
• AI is part of your process and your portfolio includes at least one case study showing AI in your work or an AI-powered experience.
• Comfort using prototypes to communicate and test ideas, using tools like Figma and AI-driven tools to move quickly.

Responsibilities

• Drive a real project from exploration to shipped work reaching millions of users.
• Use AI throughout the design process to prototype and test ideas.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, PMs, and researchers to identify opportunities and ensure high-quality implementation.
• Learn from a dedicated manager and a peer community in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
