Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to join our in-person program across multiple U.S. offices, including San Francisco and New York.

You will work on real projects, receiving mentorship while developing, maintaining, and shipping features for our marketplace and infrastructure. We look for students pursuing CS, with up to 2 years of full-time experience, available for May/June 2027 start, and excited to learn about scalable systems, databases, and APIs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, graduating between Fall 2027 to Summer 2028.
• Experience with databases (e.g., AWS, SQL).
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Proficient in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Python, Java, Kotlin).
• Experience writing clean code, version control, and unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and ship technical elements with mentor and team support.
• Act on feedback and mentorship from your mentor and team.
• Collaborate to solve real problems for customers and learn throughout the internship.
• Present summer learnings in a final presentation at the end of the internship.
