Job summary

DoorDash is offering a 12-week Software Engineer internship in which interns are immersed in their teams to develop, maintain, and ship products. You will collaborate with your mentor and team to solve real problems for our customers, contributing to DoorDash’s on-demand logistics platform.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. The 2027 internship program will be hosted in person at offices in New York, San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Los Angeles and Seattle.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS/MS in CS or equivalent; graduating 2027–2028.
• Available for May/June 2027 start; internship during summer.
• Experience with databases (AWS, SQL) and OOP languages (Python/Java/Kotlin).
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with version control and unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and ship features with mentor support.
• Incorporate feedback and mentorship from your team.
• Learn about the elements you contribute to and how they impact customers.
• Collaborate with your team to solve problems for customers.
• Participate in intern programming and present learnings at the end of the program.
