Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in mechanical/product design or related discipline.
• Experience in mechanical design, product development or design engineering.
• Strong knowledge of parametric CAD and manufacturing drawings.
• Experience designing for manufacture and tolerance stack‑ups.
• Ability to manage engineering changes independently with cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering issues and improvements for existing bifold hardware and products.
• Investigate failures and warranty matters, implement corrective improvements.
• Redesign components to enhance performance, reliability, or cost.
• Assess impact of changes on mating components and overall system.
• Perform tolerance analysis to resolve fit and function issues.
• Lead engineering content of product change requests through change process.
• Create and update 3D models, drawings, and BOMs for product changes.
• Maintain technical content and user/fabrication manuals for released products.
• Manage product data in Logikal and related software.
• Support supplier and material changes, obsolescence, or manufacturing requirements.
• Identify opportunities for proactive product improvement.
