ASI Doors, Inc. in Milwaukee invites a Design & Fabrication Specialist who thrives at the intersection of design and hands-on making.
You will move concepts from CAD models to fabricated prototypes, test, refine, and drive production-ready solutions for high-performance door systems. Reporting to engineering leadership, you will develop drawings, prototype parts, and collaborate with teams to meet evolving customer needs.
If you enjoy designing something on a screen and then stepping into the shop to actually build, test, modify, and improve it, this is the kind of engineering role you've been looking for.
As our Design & Fabrication Specialist, you'll play a hands-on role in developing the next generation of high-performance door systems used in demanding refrigerated, life science, industrial, commercial, and security applications. You'll work alongside engineers and designers to take concepts from CAD models and early ideas to fabricated prototypes, testing, refinement, and ultimately production-ready solutions.
This position is ideal for someone who likes to create and solve problems with both their mind and their hands. One day you may be developing a SolidWorks model; the next you could be machining, forming, welding, 3D printing, assembling, or testing the prototype you helped design.
If you're a builder, designer, problem-solver, and innovator who would rather create something than simply talk about it, we want to hear from you.
Summary: This position supports new product development and product enhancement for a leading manufacturer of high-performance door systems designed to meet the challenges within today's highly demanding refrigerated, life science, industrial, commercial and security markets.
