Job description

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations, acquiring product knowledge, preparing and serving samples, interacting with consumers, and maintaining a professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Proactively intercept and engage consumers to sell products.
• Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the products.
• Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances, including microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
• Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Properly set up and prepare event tables.
• Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
• Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Access the internet and navigate the company’s electronic systems, using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.

Qualifications

Education/Experience – High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.

Computer Skills – Proficient use of personal computer or mobile device and internal systems.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations – Local Food Handlers permit may be required.

Physical Demands – Stand and walk throughout shift, use hands and fingers, reach overhead up to 65 inches, talk and hear, visualize instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb steps or ladder, balance, lift up to 25 lb (occasionally 50 lb), push/pull wheeled cart, prepare foods using appliances, be in contact with cleaning supplies.

Supervisory Responsibilities – None.

Work Environment – Retail store environment with limited travel.

Physical Appearance – Maintain professional appearance and grooming per retailer dress code.

Language Skills – English required; bilingual may be required.
