Job summary

CROSSMARK is seeking an Associate in Riverside, California to handle in-store food and non-food demonstrations. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to engage customers while showcasing products. You will prepare and serve food samples and maintain a clean workstation. The position requires standing for the shift and the capacity to lift up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook is preferred.

Job description

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. Acquires and maintains knowledge of products represented. Prepares, serves, and breaks down product, equipment, and supplies. Intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner. Maintains an overall professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Possesses the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
• Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
• Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
• Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
• Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
• Set up and prepare the Event Table for execution.
• Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
• Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as Event execution.
• Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view documents including Word and PDF forms.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device with internal systems.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local Food Handler’s permit may be required.
• Physical Demands: Stand and walk for the shift; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; read instructions; stoop, kneel, squat, climb stairs or ladders; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasional lifting up to 50 pounds); push/pull a wheeled cart; work with cooking utensils and cleaning supplies.
• Language Skills: English is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
