Job summary

CROSSMARK is seeking a part-time Associate responsible for in-store food and non-food demonstrations in Longview, Texas. Job description

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. This includes acquiring and maintaining knowledge of the products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies. The Associate must intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner while maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with the job requirements.

This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company reserves discretion to adjust the role based on business or client needs.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to consumers in a positive manner.
  • Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
  • Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
  • Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
  • Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
  • Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
  • Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
  • Complete expense reports per company policy.
  • Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
  • Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
Qualifications
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in using personal computers or mobile devices with applications and internal systems.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand and walk during the shift, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms up to 65 inches, talk and hear, have visual ability to read instructions and perform events, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up a ladder, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances, and be in contact with cleaning supplies.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
  • Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.
  • Physical Appearance: Must ensure a professional appearance and proper grooming that aligns with the retailer's dress code requirements.
  • Language Skills: English is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
