Job summary

Meta seeks an Associate General Counsel for Product (Business Agents - Paid Messaging) to provide strategic legal counsel to internal product, operations and business teams. The role focuses on identifying and mitigating global risk at the intersection of product and privacy.

You will advise on data protection, competition, intellectual property, and other regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions, collaborating with privacy, regulatory, commercial and litigation teams.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree required with bar membership in at least one US state.
• 8+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney (in-house or law firm).
• Experience working independently and across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze products and policies to provide practical legal risk mitigation across jurisdictions.
• Provide product, engineering and business teams with legal advice on data protection, competition, IP, and other global frameworks.
• Coordinate with public policy, partnerships, communications and cross-functional teams on multidisciplinary issues.
