Job summary

Meta is seeking an Associate General Counsel, Product (WhatsApp) to apply complex legal frameworks to innovative products and services, guiding compliance and regulatory strategy across product lines. Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
• Active and in good standing bar license in at least one U.S. state or equivalent foreign bar license.
• 8+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm, in-house, or in government.
• Demonstrated knowledge of global privacy laws, regulations, privacy programs and industry guidelines.
• Diligent, proactive, collaborative partner with sound legal and business judgment.

Responsibilities

• Drive and support high-profile legal projects with cross-functional stakeholders across WhatsApp’s business, policy, legal, communications, security, and other teams.
• Oversee outside counsel relationships.
• Lead with public policy and communications colleagues on external communication and enforcement decisions.
• Help set and improve the strategy for advising and partnering with business teams.
• Directly manage client relationships with the business.
