Job summary

Seismic is seeking a Product Counsel to join its legal team. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Security, and GTM teams to provide practical guidance on AI, data privacy, and global regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

The ideal candidate holds a JD with bar admission and 3+ years in-house SaaS experience, with strong knowledge of AI policy, open source remediation, and cross-border compliance. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• JD with admission to at least one bar.
• 3+ years of substantive in-house SaaS experience.
• Strong knowledge of AI and data privacy laws and emerging tech.
• Experience advising on AI-powered products.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product and engineering across the lifecycle from concept to go-to-market.
• Identify and assess potential legal and regulatory risks for products and services.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate legal and compliance risks.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives across the product development lifecycle.
• Draft, review, and negotiate product development and use agreements.
• Collaborate with external counsel on complex global matters.
• Provide training and support within the legal team and business stakeholders.
