The role involves drafting and updating terms for Stripe's products, and staying ahead of AI and data privacy law developments to inform strategic product decisions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of demonstrated experience as a lawyer in top law firms or in-house with tech companies.
• Experience handling legal/regulatory aspects of product development in the tech space.
• Strong ability to collaborate with product, engineering, partnerships and privacy teams.
• Expertise in global data privacy regimes (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and AI regulatory issues.

Responsibilities

• Counsel the global product team on AI adoption, data privacy, consumer protection, and product development.
• Collaborate with engineering, partnerships, privacy, and security teams to provide actionable legal guidance across the product lifecycle.
• Draft, review, and update foundational terms and documents for Stripe's products and services.
• Stay current on laws affecting consumer financial data access and regulatory trends to advise on product impact.
• Partner with the product team to align legal strategy with Stripe's roadmap and business goals.
