Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Applications Engineer to serve as the subject matter expert for customer applications and to communicate how our products meet customer requirements.

You will support new product development from research through planning and implementation and develop technical marketing content for generator market applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
1–3 years of engineering, applications engineering, product engineering, or technical sales experience.
Strong technical aptitude and drive.
Ability to translate customer requirements into internal capability development.
US citizenship or active Green Card.
Position subject to ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

Serve as subject matter expert for customer applications.
Communicate how products satisfy customer requirements to stakeholders.
Support new product development from research through planning and implementation.
Develop marketing content (data sheets, white papers, technical bulletins, ads, videos, webinars).

Job description

Serve as the subject matter expert for customer applications
Communicate to internal and external stakeholders how products and services satisfy customer requirements
Support new product development projects from research through planning and implementation
Develop marketing content, including data sheets, white papers, technical bulletins, advertising materials, technical videos, webinars, and application engineering profiles
Provide technical expertise for generator market applications
Support customers with engineered solutions
Bridge customer needs with product development initiatives

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Engineering required
1-3 years of engineering, applications engineering, product engineering, or technical sales experience
Strong technical aptitude and drive
Ability to understand customer’s application requirements and translate that into internal capability development
Position is subject to meeting ITAR requirements
Electrical, plastics, composites, or elastomeric materials experience preferred
Experience supporting industrial, power generation, or OEM markets preferred
Customer-facing technical experience preferred
CRM experience preferred
Engineering problem solving and application engineering
Product development support, technical documentation, and reporting
Data analysis, market research, and CRM proficiency
Clear communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills
Collaborative, organized, and effective at managing priorities
Proactive self-starter with curiosity and a continuous-improvement mindset
Strong follow-through, ownership, and accountability
US citizenship or active Green Card
