Job summary

Progressive Insurance is seeking a product analyst for the commercial lines truck product development team. You’ll help develop, implement, monitor, and improve products and initiatives that support better customer and business outcomes, and you’ll analyze performance to guide strategy. This is a remote position. You’ll collaborate with product development, underwriting, data and analytics, IT, marketing, operations, and legal, and build reporting dashboards to answer complex questions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of analytical work experience, or a BA/BS with 5+ years, or quantitative degree with 3+ years.
• Experience in Commercial Lines insurance is preferred.
• Strong ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.

As a product analyst on the commercial lines truck product development team, you’ll help develop, implement, monitor, and improve products and initiatives that support better customer and business outcomes. The team advances high-impact strategic initiatives and innovative ancillary coverages that drive profitable growth, strengthen customer retention, and expand our commercial lines product portfolio. You’ll analyze product performance, identify opportunities, and turn complex information into actionable recommendations that guide product strategy and decision-making. Working closely with partners across product development, underwriting, data and analytics, information technology, marketing, operations, and legal, you’ll develop reporting and dashboards, answer complex business questions, and balance strategic project work with ad hoc analytical support.

This is a remote position.

Minimum Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 years of analytical work experience.
• Or a bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of 5 years of analytical work experience.
• Or a bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of 3-year analytical work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Commercial Lines insurance experience preferred, with an understanding of product development, underwriting, pricing, profitability, or operational processes.
• Highly proficient with SQL, SAS, Python, R, and/or Snowflake and Excel, Tableau, and/or Power BI.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Compensation

• $81,400-$108,500/year
• Gainshare annual cash incentive program up to 30% of your eligible earnings, based on company performance.
