Job summary

NP Dodge Company / DPI seeks a proactive Producer to grow our Group Benefits book. You will prospect, network, and close new accounts while coordinating with service staff to ensure smooth renewals and client satisfaction.

The role emphasizes building relationships, understanding client needs, obtaining competitive quotes, and keeping up with compliance and industry trends. Training will be provided; some travel may be required, and a Nebraska Life/Accident & Health license is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years in insurance; group benefits knowledge preferred.
  • Nebraska Life/Accidental and Health License preferred; must obtain license if hired.

Responsibilities

  • Leverages personal networks to generate new business opportunities.
  • Markets insurance risks per company policies and procedures.
  • Conducts sales, service, and solicitation of all forms of insurance.
  • Maximizes growth and client retention through superior customer service.
  • Develops accounts and cross-sell opportunities for available products and services.
  • Generates and pursues new client opportunities; closes deals.
  • Represents Dodge Partners Insurance services and solutions at meetings.
  • Builds and maintains strong B2B relationships for long-term retention.
  • Manages expiration lists using internal/ external sources.
  • Follows up on referrals to ensure high service levels.
  • Conducts targeted prospecting calls to identify needs and opportunities.
  • Gathers information for competitive quotes and markets accounts to carriers.
  • Keeps current on industry trends and regulatory changes; pursues CE.
  • Works with Account Managers on pre-underwriting and submissions.
  • Builds relationships with underwriters through submissions and negotiations.
  • Maintains prospects, new, and renewal business in AMS.
  • Demonstrates company core values and reliability.
  • Maintains attendance and timeliness.
  • Interacts well with others.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Producer will be primarily responsible for prospecting, networking, and producing Group Benefits Lines policies and accounts as well as the renewal retention of existing policies. The Producer should work seamlessly with their service staff to manage their book of business with timely and efficient service.

Essential Functions:
  • Leverages personal networks, local connections and community partners to generate new business opportunities.
  • Markets insurance risks to companies in accordance with the practices, policies, and procedures of the company and in compliance with industry law.
  • Conducts sales, service, and solicitation of all forms of insurance business.
  • Maximizes growth and client retention through superior customer service.
  • Develops accounts and leverages cross-selling opportunities for available products and services.
  • Generates and pursues new client opportunities; brings new business prospects to closure.
  • Represents Dodge Partners Insurance services and solutions at prospect meetings.
  • Builds and maintains strong business-to-business relationships to support long-term client retention.
  • Actively manages and updates expiration lists using both internal databases and external sources.
  • Provides prompt follow-up on client referrals to ensure a high level of service and engagement.
  • Conducts targeted prospecting calls to identify business needs and growth opportunities.
  • Gathers information to prepare competitive quotes and markets accounts to carriers, collaborating with support staff as needed.
  • Keeps current on industry trends and regulatory changes; actively pursues ongoing professional development and continuing education.
  • Works with the Account Managers to complete pre-underwriting, information gathering, submissions, coverage analysis, and proposal presentations as needed.
  • Effectively builds relationships with insurance company underwriters through a pattern of professional risk submissions, company visits, and negotiations.
  • Accurately maintains prospects, new, and renewal business in the agency management system.
  • Demonstrates company core values.
  • Reasonable and reliable attendance and timeliness when reporting to work and completing work.
  • Interacts well with others.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in insurance or a related industry; extensive knowledge of group benefits lines coverage and carriers preferred.
  • Nebraska Life/Accidental and Health Insurance License preferred. If hired, must obtain and maintain a license.
Required Skills / Abilities:
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience using Agency Management System Software.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a group or independently.
  • Excellent prioritization skills, sense of urgency, and ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
Special/Physical Requirements (denote if office, hybrid, remote):
  • Office attendance: Hybrid/Remote schedule available once training in successfully completed.
