Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Westlake Village, CA seeks an experienced Produce Team Leader to supervise the Produce Team and assist in daily department operations. You will supervise, train, and evaluate Team Members while ensuring clean, well-stocked displays and strong customer service.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the department, maintaining safety and regulatory compliance, and upholding high standards of retail execution with a focus on teamwork and morale.

Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience.
• Strong knowledge of Produce procedures and safety policies.
• Effective leadership and training abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Produce Team Members.
• Trains Team Members to build a high-performance team.
• Assists in training of new Team Members, utilizing materials.
• Keeps all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and rotated.
• Opens and closes department according to procedures.
• Ensures all necessary breaks are given.
• Communicates team concerns to leadership.
• Sets and achieves the highest standards of retail execution.
• Fosters a positive environment of teamwork and morale.
• Responds to customer needs and questions promptly.
• Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.
