Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Basalt is seeking an experienced Produce Team Leader to supervise team members and oversee day-to-day department flow. You will ensure compelling Produce, coffee, and juice displays, support the Team Leaders, and uphold health and safety standards while delivering friendly, courteous service to customers and staff.

You will train, develop, and mentor Team Members, manage stock and inventory, and participate in performance reviews.

Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Strong leadership and training abilities.
• Knowledge of produce procedures and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Produce Team Members.
• Trains Team Members to build a high-performance team and reduce turnover.
• Assists in training of new Team Members using checklists and materials.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean, stocked and rotated.
• Opens and closes department per procedures.
• Ensures breaks are given.
• Communicates team concerns to leadership.
• Maintains high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters teamwork, respect, and morale.
• Manages customer flow and meets customer needs.
• Mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members.
• Provides performance evaluations and aligns with WFM goals.
