Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to help customers choose healthy foods and lead one of our busiest store teams. You will partner with the Produce Manager to ensure productivity and high standards of service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires leadership, a positive attitude, and the ability to train, hire, and develop the Produce team while maintaining quality and safety across all operations in the department.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor with the ability to interact with customers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory control, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness by proper receiving, processing, pricing, signage, display and rotation.
