Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Hickory, NC is seeking a dependable team member to check the quality of designated produce and perform daily inventory. You will remove spoiled items, repack cases, monitor dating, and report issues to Inventory Control while communicating with customers, vendors, and coworkers to ensure timely, accurate service.

Responsibilities include performing duties to reduce spoilage, maintaining current counts, and collaborating with the Receiving Department and Returns Clerk

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6-12 months Inventory Control or administrative experience in a related area.

Responsibilities

• Check quality of designated produce and perform daily inventory.
• Remove spoiled or short-dated items from inventory and repack cases as needed.
• Communicate with customers, vendors and coworkers professionally to answer questions accurately and timely.
• Verify quality of returns and ensure proper rotation and condition of products.
• Maintain current inventory counts and perform other duties as assigned.
