Qualifications

• No retail experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency.
• Understanding of health and sanitation requirements in a food department.

Responsibilities

• Cuts fruits and vegetables following safety and sanitation rules.
• Ensures product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Keeps department clean and logs sweep times.
• Arrives on time and ready to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Delivers excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Preps, stores, rotates, stocks, and merchandises products to maximize sales.
• Complies with health, sanitation, and Weights & Measures procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe working and shopping environment and equipment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and checks pricing signs.
• Reports safety hazards or violations immediately.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
