Job summary

Price Rite Johnston is seeking a Produce Manager to lead the Produce department, maximize sales, protect assets, and maintain store conditions to meet company objectives.

The role reports to the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager and requires supervising 10-15 team members, hiring and training, and ensuring compliance with safety standards while delivering a great shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) from two-year college or university or related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, etc.
• Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions furnished in written or oral form.
• Ability to deal with several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Regularly stand, walk, lift and move objects as part of job duties.
• Demonstrated leadership in recruiting, training and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 10-15 team members in the store.
• Interview, hire and train associates; plan and direct work.
• Maintain store conditions per company standards to improve profitability.
