Job summary

Price Rite's PROVIDENCE location is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to lead the Produce team, drive sales, and protect company assets. You will supervise 10-15 staff, train associates, and ensure daily compliance with safety and sanitation standards while delivering an outstanding shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) from two-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and to communicate with customers or associates.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and find discounts, commissions, and percentages.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and supervise a team.

Responsibilities

• Manages 10-15 subordinates, including training, directing work, and resolving problems.
• Maintains store conditions to improve profitability and maximize sales.
• Develops a team concept and improves morale and communications.
• Ensures proper merchandising to maximize profits and maintain store standards.
• Supervises payroll goals and productivity in each department.
• Maintains customer service levels per company standards and adheres to sanitation rules.
• Open or close the store as applicable.
