Price Rite in Worcester, MA is seeking a Produce Manager to drive sales, protect assets and maintain store conditions in the Produce department. You will lead a team, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive profitability through effective merchandising.

The role requires strong organizational and supervisory skills, with responsibilities in hiring, training and coordinating daily work, while upholding company policies and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from two-year college or university, or 1–2 years related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.
• Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions.
• Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions and solve concrete problems.
• Regular standing, walking, lifting and daily manual tasks as required by the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise 10-15 team members; interview, hire and train associates.
• Plan, assign and direct work; evaluate performance and address performance issues.
• Maintain store conditions per company standards to improve profitability.
• Maximize department sales and gross profits through proactive merchandising.
• Develop teamwork, morale, and communication; ensure adherence to policies.
• Meet productivity and payroll goals; sustain customer service levels.
• Ensure sanitation standards and proper inventory management.
• Recruit, develop and coach staff; ensure compliance with HR policies.
• Coordinate daily/weekly workload; liaise with support staff and supervisors.
• Oversee equipment usage and safety; manage opening/closing duties where applicable.
